Cold Shoe

Included with the Deluxe and Premium Models is a “Cold Shoe” flash mount.
This will conveniently allow you to mount any standard electronic flash,
hotshoe for a studio style strobe or off camera wireless flash.

X-Sync Flash

This camera boasts an electro-mechanical modification to the shutter and flash system. The common wisdom has been that these cameras are not compatible with modern electronic flash units, completely true.

The original flash system was based on flash bulbs which needed to be replaced after every exposure. The nature of flash bulbs required the flash to be “ignited” slightly before the shutter was fully open. This is known as “M-Sync (reference at Wikipedia).

Modern “X-Sync”, or electronic flash systems are fast enough that they need to be triggered at the moment the shutter is fully open. If one were to place an electronic flash on a “M-Sync” camera, the result would be uneven and cutoff light, as the flash would fire before the shutter was fully open. Furthermore, electronic flashes have less light duration than flash bulbs, making timing all the more important.  The modification performed on this camera corrects the timing issue.

Range Finder

One modification available on the Deluxe and Premium Models is the choice of viewfinder. At the time of purchase you may choose which viewfinder your camera comes with. Most will want one of the metal Zeiss-Ikon manufactured Range Finders, though all three styles are available.

All view ports work well, though it has been noticed that the smaller windowed Zeiss version seems to have more range finder overlay to it. The differences between the two Zeiss rangefinders is ONLY in the outside metal cover, internally they are identical.

YES you can use Fuji peel apart pack film on all our cameras.

Film Compatibility:

Models 350, 360, and 450 came with an electronic timer which protruded inside the back of the camera.
For compatibility with the modern FUJI pack films, we remove and replace the film door on all models above. Polaroid 250′s and other models that don’t have the electronic timer do not need this modification.

Cameras

We accept returns for repair only. We offer a 90 day warranty on all cameras we sell. If your camera does not work or there is something not quite right, send it back to us, we will fix it or advise you at any time. If indeed there is something wrong with your new camera, you have 90 days to contact us. If your camera develops issues after 90 days from purchase, contact us and we will evaluate the issue. We may fix it free of charge if the issue is simple enough.

New and Original accessories carry a 30 day replacement warranty.

Most cameras have some wear on them,  scratches and blemishes. Its personality! What do you expect from a 40yr old  piece of equipment? That said we only sell very nice examples. Keep in mind the higher cost of a LandCamera.com camera is all do the the time and care devoted to getting your camera as new as possible.

We ship internationally!

LandCameras.com is based in Seattle, USA. For pricing fill in your postal code and press ‘Update Subtotal’ and proceed to checkout. There you will see the shipping choices. Keep in mind that we don’t ship to all countries. If your country of residence isn’t listed in the drop down menu, we are currently not offering shipping to your location.

International shipping rates will be calculated at the time of purchase. We will pass on the current rate USPS charges plus an 8 USD handling fee. We ship international orders ONCE a week only. It is a bit more difficult to fill out the paper work for import and customs. We like to do that in batches instead of every day. Thanks for understanding.

We offer two shipping options from USPS:

United States Postal Service – 1st Class Mail International

Packages (small packets) are charged postage for each addressed piece according to its weight and zone. 1st class mail packages are NOT insured or tracked. We receive no delivery confirmation upon your receipt. Expect your order to be delivered in 1-2 weeks after we ship it to you.

United States Postal Service – Priority Mail International

Priority Mail® International
Priority Mail international is our premium flat-rate service. While generally higher in price, delivery is guaranteed and you will receive tracking on larger orders (this is determined by the box size). Expect your order to be delivered within 6-10 days of receiving shipping information from us.

Domestic Shipping is as follows:

Ground, 2nd day, or overnight (in stock items only)

We generally upgrade all camera orders to 2nd day free of charge!

We normally ship orders two to three times a week on weekdays.

If you have chosen 2nd day or overnight we will either ship the day of your order or the next.
